In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you play once again as the main character of the franchise, Link, who gets involved in yet another exciting and dangerous adventure as he tries to learn what led to the downfall of the land of Hyrule. The gameplay is a combination of several genres: adventure, action RPG, and even survival. During the game, you explore the open world, solve puzzles and fight enemies; the combat is arcade-like and requires you to use varied tactics. You also have to gather resources in order to prepare food and drink, which affect your abilities, just like pieces of equipment.

The fourth full-fledged installment in the best-selling action series Metroid Prime, owned by Nintendo. Metroid Prime 4 is the first installment designed for Nintendo Switch. The game’s protagonist is Samus Aran – an interstellar bounty huntress fighting with Space Pirates. After the events presented in the previous game, the heroine gets entangled in another intrigue, which forces her to embark on another dangerous journey. In the game we go through vast, nonlinear levels and fight the opponents we encounter – implemented in first-person shooter mechanics. The heroine has not only got a diverse arsenal of energy rifles, but also a wide range of special skills. One of them is Morph Ball, which allows her to reach hardly accessible places. Thanks to such mechanics, the challenges the player faces in Metroid Prime 4 are not only arcade in nature but logic-based as well.

Another installment in the popular Nintendo series about Pokémon, released as a pair of games: Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. The action takes place in French-like region Kalos. You assume the role of a young Pokémon trainer traveling through the world in search of new creatures you catch and train for Pokémon League battles. To be successful you need to earn eight Gym Badges by defeating the Battle Arenas’ leaders specialized in different elements. Then, you will have to prove your strength to the so-called Elite Four – the best trainers in Kalos. Game mechanics do not differ significantly from the previous installments. The core aspects of Pokemon X are still world exploration, chatting, and battling others with Pokémon of different abilities and techniques. Pokémon X and Y are the first in the series to utilize fully 3D graphics.

An enhanced port of Mario Kart 8 developed for Nintendo Switch. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe reprises a lot of elements known from the two previous installments of the series, such as motorcycles, gliders, the ability to perform somersaults, or underwater racing. However, the developers introduced an interesting novelty – anti-gravity racing, in which we can stick to walls or even to the ceiling. The game doesn’t contain a story-driven single player campaign – we focus on taking part in a series of competitions in which we can race against AI-controlled opponents, as well as other players. Mario Kart 8 contains several multiplayer variants, including online as well as local game modes (split-screen, or a wireless mode for up to eight players). The new edition contains all of the content present in the original game, including released add-ons, at the same introducing new tracks and characters, such as Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy, King Boo, Dry Bones, or Bowser Jr.

Sequel to the dynamic fantasy slasher developed by Platinum Games studio led by Hideki Kamiya, the creator of the Devil May Cry series. In contrast to the original game that was released on every major seventh generation console, Bayonetta 2 is a WiiU exclusive. The game continues the story of a very attractive witch who has to fight the forces of good and defeat legions of enemies. The game features dynamic action and an interesting combat system. The protagonist is able to use various melee weapons and firearms. She is also able to use armaments left by fallen enemies. Being a witch, Bayonetta has a number special abilities at her disposal that allow her to summon demons and hell machines to do her dirty work. The sequel also features the characteristic elements of the first entry, including bullet-time, fancy bosses, and a large dose of humor.

A remastered version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, a game initially released in 2006 on GameCube and Wii consoles. The new version was developed by Australian studio Tantalus, which specializes in converting popular titles to various gaming platforms. Similarly as in most other installments in the series, the main character is a young man named Link, who begins a new journey, this time to help the children kidnapped from his village by monsters. When the protagonist reaches the Twilight Realm and is transformed into a wolf, he meets a mysterious creature called Midna, who promises to take him to princess Zelda's castle and help him in reclaiming his former shape. HD version isn’t very different from the original game, which was a combination of RPG and a third person perspective action-adventure game in which player was mostly exploring and fighting. In addition to noticeably improved graphics, the gameplay was slightly changed and improved.

It is the first game of the series that was released on home video game consoles. The game's story focuses on a novice pokemon trainer who begins their adventure with a pokemon of their choosing. Our hero explores more and more locations and faces other trainer in order to prove that he/she is the best pokemon trainer in the region. Combat is turn-based. Key to victory lies in skillful usage of our pokemon's attacks and abilities. Each pokemon has its own unique stats, move sets, and abilities that influence its capability in combat. The game has eye-pleasing, cartoonish visuals.

Super Mario Odyssey is a 3D platform game developed for Nintendo Switch and another installment of the Mario video game franchise. In Super Mario Odyssey, the titular plumber has to saved his beloved Princess Peach, who this time faces a forced marriage with the game's main antagonist, Bowser. The game takes place not only in the typical for the series fairy-tale land, but also in the alternative version of the real world. In of mechanics, Super Mario Odyssey is a natural evolution of the series. We get a 3D platformer where we explore various locations using Mario's acrobatic abilities, gather items, avoid traps, and fight with the encountered enemies and bosses. Super Mario Odyssey comes with some new elements, like bigger locations or a more sandbox-like nature of the game that gives us more freedom of exploration. Mario's hat also has some interesting properties and gives us access to many unique abilities.

A dynamic racing game developed by independent studio Shin'en Multimedia for the Nintendo Switch console. Fast RMX is sometimes called a spiritual successor to the WipEout series. The players control futuristic cars, with powerful anti-gravity drives on board, and participate in spectacular races, in which they can reach speed of hundreds of miles per hour. In Fast RMX you get to compete for victory on 30 diverse routes, set in such places as vast metropolises, canyons, or snowy mountains. The key to victory lies not only in proper handling of the vehicle of your choice, but also in having perfect knowledge of individual routes, which are filled with various power-ups. Fast RMX can be played either solo or in company of other players in local or online modes. The game sports high quality graphics and smooth animation displayed in 60 frames per second.

The player assumes the role of Link, who one day finds the eponymous item: a powerful, enchanted weapon with a spirit contained within. When it turns out there is a land beneath the surface of the world he is familiar with, the protagonist sets out on a dangerous journey to discover the reasons as to why both worlds were separated. Moreover, the unknown land is taken over by evil that has to be dealt with. In the game, Link can fight his enemies using several weapons (sword plus shield, bow, slingshot, bombs) and a few special accessories, such as a spy-beetle, or a whip used in puzzle solving. The game stands out with its comprehensive controls, designed for Nunchuck and Wii Remote ed by a MotionPlus device, providing vast possibilities.
