Android 12 Launch Date Leaked

In May of this year Google announced a new version of its mobile system - Android 12. As the previous versions, namely 10 and 11, debuted in September, we could expect a similar date for this year's release. However, this did not happen. We are in the third week of September and only thanks to the editor of XDA Developers we learned that the new Android will arrive on October 4.

Mishaal Rahmanm, editor of the aforementioned tech website, posted a Tweet, in which he presents a document containing not only the release date of Android 12, but also earlier versions (this may prove the credibility of the source). According to what he managed to discover and what you can see in the attached image, Android 12 will be released on October 4 in the Open Source Project version.

The reason for quite a late release date may be a completely new look, which will be offered by the 12th version of the system, and this is to fit into Google's philosophy called Material You. What's more, another reason may be the launch of the phone Pixel 6, which will also hit the market in October this year, and it is rather clear that releasing a new device with an old system is pointless. It is also worth mentioning the fact that while Android 12 will probably hit the Pixel 6 right away, s of competing smartphones will receive the system update a little later.
