When Deadside launched in early access on Steam back in March 2020, it peaked with over 9,000 people playing at the same time. However, following its full release on December 5th, 2024, the player count has dropped to just half of that.
The recent 1.0 patch introduced a ton of new content to the game, and the developers are already working on further improvements. Here’s what they have planned next:
Outside of short-term plans, we will continue to improve and update Deadside for as long as we have a community to . Leaving early access won’t be changing that. So let us know what you would like to see in future updates! While the focus might be on the release now, we are always looking to the community for ideas on future content.
As you can see, there’s no word about planning console releases. However, if Deadside manages to attract more players, the Bad Pixel team might finally consider it.
