Someone rebuilt the Scuttling the U-529 mission in Unreal Engine 5 and now I desperately need a full Medal of Honor remake
This is what a modern Medal of Honor Allied Assault could look like. Thanks to a dedicated fan, of course.

Some might say the Omaha Beach mission, with its D-Day Normandy landing, as easily one of the most iconic and cinematic moments in Medal of Honor Allied Assault or even in the whole early FPS history. But others could say the German submarine mission deserves just as much credit for its intriguing spin on what might've actually happened to U-529.
A legendary Medel of Honor mission, reborn
In the Scuttling the U-529 mission, you step into the shoes of Lt. Mike Powell as he undertakes a daring covert operation in Nazi-occupied Norway. Your goal is to infiltrate a heavily guarded German submarine base, sabotage the advanced Naxos radar system, and destroy the U-529 submarine before it can be used against the Allies.
You’ll need to be smart about when to hide, when to move, and when to make your move before things blow up, literally. It’s a perfect mix of stealth, tension, and action that keeps you on edge the whole time. Definitely one of those missions that sticks with you.
Medal of Honor Allied Assault is already 23 years old now, and sure it’s still available on GOG, but it’s one of those classics that’s long overdue for a remake.
Don’t get your hopes up watching this video, the remake isn’t actually happening, at least not that I know of. It’s just a fan-made version of the Scuttling the U-529 mission, brought to life in Unreal Engine 5 by Jos van Laar. Like he said, it’s purely a fun project made for “entertainment and educational purposes.” Still, it gives us a taste of what we need – nay what we deserve!
The plan for this mission was easy, sneak into the U-boat, plant the bombs, and get out. But my goodness, stealth flew out the window once it was time to make a break for it. It just would be so nice to actually relive these moments once again in upgraded graphics. Maybe, someday we’ll get that chance.
