Stellar Blade cross progression on Steam: there is hope for a solution
Stellar Blade launched today on Steam, and you may be wondering if you can transfer your progress from PlayStation 5. We have some answers for you.

Today, Stellar Blade, the action game from developer Shift Up, was released on PC via Steam. This secondary launch comes more than a year after the game's initial launch on PlayStation 5 last April. As players jump into the game on Steam, issues are bound to arise. Some players on the Steam community discussions page are already encountering the disappointing realization that Stellar Blade does not have cross-progression. Your save file on PlayStation will not yet carry over to Steam automatically. But there is hope on the horizon.
Does Stellar Blade have cross-progression? There could be a possible solution
There are several ways this issue can be addressed. Shift Up may introduce a patch that enables cross-progression, as players already need to sign in with a PlayStation Network to play. However, if you are impatient and feel comfortable searching through the save files on your PlayStation 5, you may be able to transfer your save to Steam, although this method is risky and not recommended. According to the Steam community discussions page, some players have already resigned to playing through the whole game again.
There is another option, as discussed in a post on the Stellar Blade subreddit, but it requires some patience. The post asks the community if there is any news on cross-progression, and the top comment responds with: “There will most likely be a save that has everything unlocked in the first few days. Someone will do it…” suggesting that someone will share their save file, which players can and use on Steam. Though, as with ing anything from the internet, I strongly recommend you use caution.
Stellar Blade rose to popularity last year for its action-adventure gameplay and wide array of costumes for its protagonist Eve. There have been several collaborations since launch, including NieR: Automata, and as of today’s Steam launch, the mobile game Goddess of Victory: Nikke.
Ultimately, players may need to be patient if they want to unlock everything today in Stellar Blade, whether that’s waiting for an update or playing through the game again.
