Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy announced. Check out the Baldur's Gate-style RPG trailer from the Pathfinder creators
Announced Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy is a turn-based combat RPG from the creators of the Pathfinder series, in which we will make tough decisions as an Inquisitor.

The Warhammer Skulls event brought not only Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader has been revealed.
Dark Heresy announcement
Veterans of the genre are behind the new Dark Heresy, including the studio Owlcat Games, known for the Pathfinder series. The title will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Unfortunately, they didn't reveal the release date of the new title yet. However, the trailer shows some gameplay footage and comic-style scenes that give a glimpse of the game's storyline.
In Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy, we will play as an acolyte of the Inquisition, who will be responsible for investigating and combating heresy in the Calixis sector. The main goal of the player is therefore to protect the Empire from threats from many sides: heretics, mutants, the filth of xenos, or the forces of Noctis Aeterna. We will expose corruption and detect conspiracies through the investigation system.
Since the studio behind Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy also worked on Rogue Trader, the gameplay of the new game will be very similar to that one in the 2023 title. Because once again, we are dealing with an RPG, in which we control our own party during turn-based battles. Moreover, we will sometimes be forced to make radical decisions that will affect the fate of many beings in a devastating war, possibly including the extreme solution to problems in the form of the infamous Exterminatus. As a result, some players and journalists associate it with the big hit from Larian Studios, Baldur’s Gate 3.
Rogue Trader Expansion
By the way, the exact release date of the second story expansion for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, titled Lex Imperialis, has been announced. The DLC will be released on June 24th this year on PS5, XSX/S, and PC. The expansion will introduce a new faction, the Adeptus Arbites, along with Arbitrators controlling cybernetic eagles, ravens, and mastiffs.
