Is anyone actually waiting for the GEX Trilogy?
It's time for another classic remaster. Croc was refreshed in April, so June belongs to agent Gex. In this case, we'll get a package of three 3D and 2D platformers from the 90s, featuring a sarcastic gecko as the main character. The series is known for its funny references to pop culture, TV, and movies, as well as its unique themed worlds inspired by different media genres. Will such a remaster still be relevant in 2025? Wouldn't a modernized remake be better?
Does such a remaster have a reason to exist today?
The GEX Trilogy offers remastered graphics, improved controls, and for modern platforms while still keeping the original spirit alive. This is a nostalgic trip for fans of old platform games and a great opportunity for new players to get to know one of the most iconic game mascots of the 90s. Unfortunately, we will not get any new levels. There is also no point in counting on any major changes.
