Age of Mythology: Retold - Heavenly Spear

Over the course of 12 missions, we accompany Yasuko, who under the guidance of the spear guardian - Akari - gradually uncovers the secrets of the relic, forms alliances with gods, and fights mythical creatures, trying to thwart Kagemasa's plans.

Japanese pantheon and units

Age of Mythology: Retold - Heavenly Spear introduces previously unavailable deities from the myths of the Land of the Rising Sun, each equipped with unique powers. They include Raijin playing on thunderous drums, Fujin allowing our armies to fly across the map, and Watatsumi giving us access to a dragon typhoon.

The new setting is also an opportunity to test units that have not been seen before. Apart from battle-hardened samurais developing with each victory and shinobi being skilled assassins and saboteurs, we use the services of yokai such as fox spirits-scouts called Kitsune, terrifying apparitions known as Shinigami, and Tengu who are winged fencers on the battlefield.

New maps

The icing on the cake are the previously unavailable maps for skirmish mode, among which we will find foggy forests and sacred mountains.

Age of Mythology: Retold - Heavenly Spear is a non-standalone expansion, so it requires the base version of Age of Mythology: Retold.
