Ghostrunner Expansion Pack
Release Date: March 3, 2022
An expansion to the warmly welcomed 2020 FPP action game. In Ghostrunner: Project_Hel we take on the role of the titular Hel and explore the Dharma Tower, completing a bloody mission. The add-on offers 6 new levels. A new feature here is also the ability to survive one attack.
Project_Hel is an add-on to the action game Ghostrunner, released in 2020. The add-on was developed by the authors of the original, the Polish studio One More Level. Interestingly, it was originally created as a much smaller DLC, but eventually grew to the size of a large expansion.
In Ghostrunner: Project_Hel we play as the title Hel, who in the basic version of the game acted as a boss. The protagonist has to complete a bloody mission in the Dharma Tower, which is well-known to fans of the original game.
Similarly to the original, in Ghostrunner: Project_Hel the action was shown from a first-person perspective (FPP). The gameplay basically does not differ too much from what we are used to from Ghostrunner, so we dash through locations and eliminate enemies with a katana, performing lightning-fast dodges and impressive stunts. The expansion introduces a handful of new features, the biggest of which is the ability to survive one attack; only after the second attack Hel will be killed. In the expansion six new levels are waiting for completion. In addition, new bosses stand in our way, and previously unavailable skills are waiting to be gained.
Ghostrunner: Project_Hel does not introduce changes in the graphical layer. However, we will hear six new tracks in the add-on, which were composed by Daniel Deluxe.

Game Ratings for Ghostrunner: Project_Hel Video Game.
Digital Chumps: 7.8 / 10 by Steven McGehee
Six new tracks by Daniel Deluxe, new Trophies and collectibles, and a refreshed progression system round out the major differences between Hel and its base game. For the most part then, Project_Hel is quite a lot like Ghostrunner, which makes sense. Ghostrunner is pretty unique though, so if you didn’t like it, you probably won’t like Project_Hel, either. However, those who did enjoy it should find enough differences, and similarities, with Project_Hel to make the most of it, and enjoy the additional context to the base story along the way. In conclusion, Project_Hel is a must have for fans of the base game, but safe to skip if you aren’t already a fan.
TechRaptor: 7.5 / 10 by Austin Suther
It's more Ghostrunner, so if you enjoyed the base game, Project_Hel should be on your radar. Hel controls and feels different, so this bundle of levels feels fresh but familiar all the same.
DarkZero: 7 / 10 by Dominic Sheard
Ghostrunner: Project_Hel offers a nice addition to the base game, upholding the original game's amazing soundtrack and visuals. The expansion brings an extra couple of hours of that addictive live, die, repeat puzzle and action format that somehow the developers have managed to make work without frustration.
