Guilty as Sock! is a wildly humorous web production, in which we participate in an unusual court case involving anthropomorphic socks. The game was developed by an independent developer using the pseudonym Demon Max.

Gameplay

In Guilty as Sock! we watch the action from the first person perspective (FPP). The game takes place in a courtroom and we assume various roles, trying to perform them as best we can.

Judge, lawyer and prosecutor

The judge, lawyer, and prosecutor play the first fiddle here. The judge is trying to control the chaos and establish some kind of order. He can give voice or impose penalties on participants of the game who do not follow his instructions. He is also responsible for accepting and rejecting evidence at his discretion, and of course, for issuing verdicts.

The prosecutor's task is to prove the guilt of the accused, while the lawyer's goal is to defend the latter. Both lawyers are tossing around clues and evidence... but not only that. They can make life difficult for each other in other ways, by outshouting each other, and even throwing paper balls at each other. When we want to tip the scales of victory in our favor, all tricks are allowed.

Side roles

Of course, this is not the end of the functions that we can perform in the courtroom. There is also a witness, whose testimonies can help the lawyer or prosecutor (or the judge in issuing verdicts), a journalist publishing articles (which can become important evidence), a sworn expert issuing opinions that can be specific guidelines for the judge, and also a court bailiff, helping the judge maintain order.
