Mario Party: The Top 100 is another entry in the Wii Party from 2010.
Mechanics
Mario Party: The Top 100 for 3DS isn’t a completely new entry in the series but a collection of minigames from all previous games in the saga. As the name suggests, it features one hundred different competitions. The players can fight to remain on an island attacked by a pirate ship (Bombs Away from Mario Party and Mario Party 2), play beach volleyball (Beach Volley Folley from Mario Party 4) or match diamonds in Jewel Drop from Mario Party 10. The developers selected the minigames in such way that they test the agility, speed, cleverness and luck of the players. Among the playable characters there are Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Wario and Yoshi.
The game was designed with multiplayer for up to four players in mind. The title s Play, a function that enables one host to share the game with other players who don’t need to have their own copy of the title. Mario Party: The Top 100 also s Amiibo figures.
Technical aspects
Although the gameplay of various minigames is similar to the gameplay in their original versions, the graphics were adapted to Nintendo 3DS. This means that competitions from older games look better and the ones from Wii U are looking worse.
