A Resident Evil 2 level remade in VR and Unreal Engine 4
With this fan-made remake you can revisit Resident Evil 2's R.P.D. main hall in VR and ire the Unreal Engine 4-powered environment. But beware of the Licker!
A Resident Evil 2 fan nicknamed CryingHorn has rebuilt a location from that cult survival horror game in virtual reality and Unreal Engine 4. The demo lets you explore the Raccoon City Police Department main hall, recreated with great care for detail. In there you can also encounter the Licker, an iconic zombie mutant with a long tongue and its brain on the outside. Although the monster is not going to attack you, it will definitely not let itself be bothered. If you own an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive headset, go on and try the demo out for yourself – you can it for free at this address.
While it’s unlikely that CryingHorn is going to deliver a full Resident Evil 2 remade in VR, there is a proper Resident Evil VII: Biohazard in VR. Others will likely get that chance too in early 2018, since the VR mode was supposed to be exclusive for Sony’s console only for a year.
