Why Atomfall might be winning the award for most annoying mechanics
Ever tried tearing tape? You might think it’s a simple task, but in Atomfall, it requires a specialized skill and incredibly steady hands.

Weird designs in games can either crack us up or drive us crazy. Invisible walls always get in the way just when it seems like you should be able to through. Sometimes, the main path feels too boring, and that tempting hill looks totally climbable – until it isn't. But nothing is more annoying than bad lock-picking mechanics or objects that should be accessible but aren’t because of some tedious thing. Looks like Atomfall has its fair share of those moments too.
Someone is testing our limits
For me, Fallout 4. Some doors were already broken, missing s, or had massive holes in them, but nope, you still had to pick the lock to get through.
I think Atomfall takes the crown for the most annoying mechanics now. A Reddit , 5xad0w, posted on Reddit about the most bizarre design choice ever. Apparently, you can’t pick up a Molotov Cocktail that’s taped to a chest because you need special training for that "advanced" task.
There’s already some frustration about the developers' way of testing what works, we already know how that's going to turn out.
