Space Marine 2 celebrates big success after bloody event. Major 8.0 update introduces highly anticipated horde mode
The creators of Space Marine 2 have summed up the month: players smashed more than 800,000 Trygons, and more challenges are already on the horizon. The 8.0 update will bring, among other things, a horde mode and even more minor expansions.

In an April lot of new stuff in the 7.0 "Trygon" update, but the folks at Saber Interactive aren't slowing down - patch 8.0 with a new horde mode is on the way.
800,000 Trygons in 10 days
Between April 17th and 27th, players had the chance to the "Seismic Activity" community event, with the goal of defeating 200,000 Trygons. The goal was achieved by a large margin - by April 27, over 800,000 monsters had died.
Participants of the event could get the Mark X Tacticus armor, and on May 5th, they will receive a code to claim a special skin for the Porphyr Shield sword. The reward will be available until the launch of the 8.0 update.
Patch 8.0 - the most important info
The most important new feature announced for May is the "Horde Mode," in which up to three players (or one player plus two bots) will face waves of enemies. After each wave, the difficulty level will increase, and the progression system will be linked to the class and weapon levels from the PvE mode.
The devs also showed a "sneak peak" of the map from the new mode, set in Kadaku. The release date and official name of the mode ("horde mode" is just a working term) will be revealed soon.
With the horde mode, more cosmetics will be added to the game, including the Blood Angels Cosmetic Pack and the White Scars Champion Pack.
Patch 8.0 will also bring changes to the Absolute difficulty level, developed based on the results of community voting. The creators also announced the return of the test server (PTS).
Focus Together is working - 40 community ideas already in the game
Saber Interactive also mentioned that since the release, they've added over 40 ideas suggested by the community through the Focus Together platform. In this way, the game received, among other things, Trygons, the Inferno Pistol, a color scheme for lenses and fabrics, a bestiary from the lore, and the removal of class restrictions for weapons in PvE.
Focus Together is a social platform created by Focus Entertainment, serving as the official hub for gamers. It allows fans to share opinions, suggestions, and ideas for game improvements, engage in direct communication with developers, and participate in forum discussions. The initiative also allows for submitting proposals for new features and voting on them, and selected ideas can be marked by the developers as "Greenlit" (planned), "Must Have" (priority), or "Implemented."
